Since our founding in 1947, radio technology has been at the heart of our company. We consistently focus on in-house development. Based on our long-term experience in the market, on our close contact to our customers and their machinery, and on the comprehensive expertise of our engineers we create radio technology solutions that are 100 percent tailored to the application and unrivalled worldwide.

Working closely with the customer, our experts analyze the physical conditions in the area of application and the specific requirements of the machines to be controlled – including on-site measurements if necessary.
In addition, we offer valuable support on regulatory issues, which play an important role in radio technology in particular. What approval is required? Which authorities in your country do you need to contact for approval questions? What needs to be considered when importing a radio system?
The experts in our global HBC network provide competent and reliable assistance with these and other questions and, if desired, support you in commissioning the radio system. Here, too, HBC customers benefit from enormous added value.

Our HBC radio technologies are entirely designed as modular systems. If the frequency range needs to be changed within the life cycle of the radio system (for example, if the system has been permanently relocated or the operating conditions have changed), this can easily be done by an exchange of the RF module. The system can immediately be used with the new frequency range.

With our 2.4 GHz modules from our in-house development, we offer HBC customers an excellent technology that can be used virtually anywhere in the world. They are extremely robust against interference and always find a free radio channel using the Adaptive Frequency Hopping method in continuous operation. With 100 mW, they deliver the maximum transmission power licensed in all countries and, thus, ensure an outstanding performance.

For work environments with unknown / high numbers of radio users or with frequently changing spectrum demands, we offer various automatic frequency management methods for different frequency ranges. Alongside the integrated method on DECT radio modules and the integrated Adaptive Frequency Hopping for 2.4-GHz applications, we also offer another outstanding in-house solution: The radiomatic® AFM (Automatic Frequency Management) technology uses more than 100 transmissions and continously switches between them at very high speed. The operator can work without interruption at any time, even under very demanding radio conditions.

Another crucial factor with respect to the robustness and range of a radio link is antenna technology. In this regard, HBC-radiomatic also offers a wide selection of cutting-edge components for all areas of application.
In order to ensure optimum adaptation to the respective application, the working environment and the installation situation, we offer different antenna options with cable lengths ofbetween 1 meter and 10 meters:

HBC RF modules have been setting standards for reliability and performance for decades. They efficiently use the maximum license-free transmission power of under 10 mW. In addition, they offer an impressively long range and optimum availability.
For particularly demanding working environments, we have developed perfectly suited additions and extensions to our radio technology.
In addition, we offer tailor-made solutions for special applications and challenging projects that are precisely suited to the application. For example, our High-power amplifiers (HPAs) enable safe and reliable control over long distances in narrowband radio systems, e.g. when operating very long machines. They are also ideal for use in environments with many disruptive influences.
For radio systems with 2.4 GHz technology, we have developed the high-performing HBC repeater for optimum control in difficult environments with obstacles in the radio path or over long distances.
